3. Our Monitoring Station is U.L listed - We believe that the only way to protect your home or business is with the highest possible standards. U.L. sets those standards for our industry and all electrical devices in the United States. Not all burglar alarm / security system companies have U.L. listed central stations.
4. American Video and Security Ltd. does not sell your Monitoring Agreement! - BEWARE - Most of the largest companies in our industry utilize dealer programs. These "dealers" sell your contract. Your commitment to pay and the term of the agreement are sold by the "dealers" to the large security companies. After 90 days you will not be able to contact your installation company. Many "dealers" use sub-contractors for their labor. We do not recommend that you use a security "dealer", instead, use a local company that has local service. Please ask anyone selling you a burglar alarm / security system if your contract will be sold and if they use subcontractors.
5. Our installers are employees (not sub-contractors) - Our installers are long time employees and we provide health insurance and benefits. Beware of a company that "subs out" it's work.
6. American Video and Security Ltd. is a licensed contractor in Nevada - In these tough times it is tempting to use an unlicensed company to lower the price. But, after the work is finished you may not be able to reach them again. The law requires that any company performing low voltage work must have a contractors license. Using a properly licensed burglar alarm / security system company insures that you are dealing with a professional and prevents criminals from performing such sensitive work.
7. We carry Errors and Omissions and Workers Comp. Insurance - Using a properly licensed low voltage company insures that they have insurance in the event of an accident.
9. American Video and Security Ltd. provides our installers with tools, trucks, and uniforms - Our installers are long term employee and professionals in our trade. We provide tools need to perform the work the highest standard. Subcontractors often where street cloths, drive their own vehicles and do not have the proper tools.
10. With American Video and Security Ltd. you make a local call to request service - We are a local company providing local service. After the installation a burglar alarm / security system may last for 10 years or more. you need a company that will provide quality and timely service after the installation.
